Risk Assessment
Risk Assessments are conducted in relation to many types of situations and workplaces. Risk Assessments are intended to objectively identify hazards that could injure a person and using a risk analysis technique quantify the degree of risk.
Once the risk has been quantified the appropriate level of control can be introduced to bring high levels of risk within a level that is less likely to injure people. The risk assessment process is applied to the following:
- Falls from heights
- Plant and equipment
- Manual handling tasks
- Confined spaces
- Hazardous substances
- Repetitive and awkward posture tasks
- Machine Guarding
- First aid
- Protective clothing and equipment
