Asbestos B Class Licences have been extended

Under the Workplace Health and Safety Regulation 2008 there are two types of licences relating to asbestos removal work. An ‘A’ class licence covers all asbestos removal work, that is, both friable and bonded asbestos. An ‘A’ class licence is held by a business.
A ‘B’ class licence covers removal of 10 square metres or more of bonded asbestos and is held by workers carrying out the removal of 10 square metres or more of bonded asbestos. It does not cover removal of friable asbestos
